Thanksgiving

I have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. I've been thinking about it all day.

Of course my family is at the top of the list. Three years ago, I had no children and only a great husband. Today, I have 2 fantastic children and a wonderful husband. God has truly bless our family. I am honored that God has chosen this family for me.

I am grateful that Rebecca is with us this year. A year and a half ago, I got a call to do respite for a little girl for 10 days. We were interested in a adopting another little girl at the time and figured it would help the time to go by faster. Who would have thought that call and that child would start all of this. We now have her biological sister and we are working on getting her adopted as well.

I am thankful that God always seems to create ways for us to get by. My husband was laid off work right before summer. That was exactly what we needed really now that I look back on it. Joe was able to stay home with Jasmine and get things ready for the adoption. It also gave us more time to spend with Rebecca. Our friends and people we don't even know gave us little miracles and I am grateful for God sending them to us just when we needed it.

I am thankful that I can be a part of the deaf culture and have an opportunity to pass that along to my children. The deaf culture has really opened my eyes to alot of things that the hearing do. I am grateful to everyone who has shared the culture with me.

I hope everyone had such a "thankful" year as I have had. Happy Holidays!! May the blessings continue to flow.
